He has many pros but overall, it seems that he's medicore and can be outclassed by many other attackers such as Hookuai or LazarBeam. However, Trap isn't really ideal for his role and his cooldowns also drag him down to his current role.
His power is a bit outdated, hurting his ability to deal damage, but he can also spread various status effects and Tortures, including random ones to make up for it. Malair used to be a powerful Magic attacker.
